GSB-88 is a gilsonite-based asphalt preservation treatment used as a fog seal/rejuvenator for asphalt pavements. It’s designed to penetrate into the pavement surface instead of just sitting on top like a traditional coating. The goal is to slow oxidation, restore flexibility, reduce water intrusion, and extend pavement life.
What GSB-88 Does
• Replaces or supplements oils/resins lost through oxidation
• Helps keep asphalt flexible instead of brittle
• Reduces raveling and surface drying
• Improves aggregate binding
• Helps seal out water and UV damage
• Darkens and refreshes the pavement appearance
Unlike a thick latex driveway sealer, GSB-88 is more of a penetrating preservation treatment.

• Freeze/thaw cycles
GSB-88 is intended to replenish some of the lighter oils/resins the pavement loses as it ages. That can help the surface stay more flexible instead of drying out and becoming brittle
